The Dudson Museum – History in a Bottle!
Discover over
200 years of pottery produced in Stoke-on-Trent by the oldest
surviving family business in the ceramic tableware industry.
Explore the original Dudson factory courtyard and enjoy the unique
experience of stepping inside the Grade II listed bottle oven to
view the collection and to trace the fascinating history of the
Dudson company's production from 1800 to the present
day.
You may choose to visit us on your own, or with family or a group. However you visit, you will be assured of a rewarding experience and a warm welcome by our friendly staff. A typical visit takes just under an hour but the pottery enthusiast will want to linger longer to soak up all that the stunning collection has to offer! We are always pleased to welcome school parties.
There is a gift shop selling books and souvenirs, and a café on site selling delicious home-made food. The rest of the historic site has also been preserved and is now a centre for voluntary organisations with meeting rooms available for hire.
The Dudson Factory Outlet, where tableware made for the hospitality industry is available to the general public, is just a mile from the museum. The Dudson Museum and Factory Outlet are easy to find, about 15 minutes from Junction 15 or 16 of the M6.
